About

Objectives

CAMAERA aims to enhance the quality of the aerosol products delivered by the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) through improvements of the modelling capabilities and data assimilation aspects of the CAMS regional and global systems.

Structure

CAMAERA work package breakdown focuses on the assimilation of new observational satellite and in-situ data, on the improvement of aerosol modelling capacities and a better representation of aerosol processes in the regional and global CAMS production systems.

Links to other projects

CAMAERA is built on the heritage of development efforts in CAMS, is closely aligned with the ongoing operational CAMS service provision and is also at the crossroads of many international projects that relate to various aspects of aerosol modelling and data assimilation.

Consortium

CAMAERA consortium is composed of 15 partners from 11 European countries, plus ECMWF which is an international organization, gathering recognized experts in atmospheric aerosols and chemistry modelling and data assimilation, at both regional and global scales.
