The AEROCOM workshop in Lille (14th-18th October) is dedicated to the modelling and observations of aerosols.

Nathan Capon, from HYGEOS, presented first results, obtained in the CAMAERA project, of the use of neural network techniques to simulate whitecap fraction (figure below), a proxy for sea-salt aerosol emissions, in the global CAMS system (IFS-COMPO cycle 49R1).
