Models used in CAMAERA

CAMAERA aims to improve the modelling capabilities of both the global and regional production systems. Consequently, the work focuses on the modelling tools used in the two production systems: the Integrated Forecasting System (IFS) as operated by ECMWF and the eleven regional models that compose the regional ensembles. In addition to this, the global ARPEGE model, operated by Météo-France, is used to carry out the assimilation of infrared radiances from IASI. Several models of the regional ensemble, are also global models. In some cases, they are used in their global version to test developments carried out in CAMAERA.
