Outcomes of CAMAERA General Assembly

The project held its online general assembly on 21st May. Presentations are available below.

Many topics were covered, from online inversion of dust emissions to the implementation of a modal aerosol scheme in the global CAMS model to the use of neural network to compute desert dust emissions, as well as the ongoing Secondary Organic Aerosol (SOA) intercomparison led by METNorway, online ammonia emissions and fire forecasting. The meeting allowed for fruitful exchanges between work packages, in particular for the next steps of the SOA intercomparison, on the comparison of dust emissions between online and offline inversion methodologies and so on.

Next meeting will be the in-person final assembly in Toulouse on 9th and 10th November, hosted by Meteo-France.

Comparison of simulated surface organic carbon (sum of primary and secondary organic carbon) to observed values from the EBAS network over Europe

Comparison of simulated surface organic carbon (sum of primary and secondary organic carbon) to observed values from the EBAS network over Europe. This is part of the ongoing SOA intercomparison carried out in WP8 by METNorway.
